You've installed may programs and some run as daemons(processes) at
bootup,(may b u even have viruses) so that pc takes bloody long between
logging in and having a useable desktop. here is a workaround
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
a) run msconfig go to the startup tab and uncheck unwanted programs. apply changes, click ok to reboot
b)
run regedit 1) navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\current version\run. here
u'll find programs that run when the current user has logged and these
programs could differ by user eg internet cafe timing software.
############################################
BACKUP THE KEYS BEFORE U PROCEED BY RIGHT CLICKING, EXPORTING AND SAVING THE KEYS
############################################
3)
on the right pane, delete the keys of programs/processes u dont want
to run in the background consuming your RAM and CPU time. but BE
CAREFUL not to delete system process eg those located in C:\windows
(Although some viruses could also hide there
2) while still in
regedit, navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\current version\run. here
u'll find programs that run at boot up irrespective of the user who's
logged in eg antiviruses.... do the same as above
