During this weeks show, we were joined by special guest Chris Hollis of Google TV Friends
to help us with our Vizio Co-Star and Google TV review. As you may
know, this week the $99 Google TV set top box started to arrive for
those that pre-ordered. We go over initial impresses ions, setup and
configuration, software/UI, and popular, must have Google TV
apps.
It’s
that time of year again. Right before the fall season when we start to
see rumors pop up all over the place regarding the next Nexus phone from
Google. This time around, the rumor mill is running full force with
leaks pointing towards at least three Nexus phones. The Sony Xperia
Nexus, the LG Optimus Nexus and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus II are rumored
thus far. Interest sparked? Yes.
Just a few hours before the show
the verdict dropped for the Apple vs Samsung trial. As this is an
extremely important trial for the largest Android smartphone
manufacturer, we figured we better talk about it. I think most of us
agree, Samsung was wronged, the jury was blind, and we can’t wait for
the appeal.
Besides the big stories this week, T-Mobile has axed
their version of the Galaxy Note after two weeks. The HTC Thunderbolt
got a leaked ICS ROM and the HTC Incredible 2 got one as also. The
Samsung Galaxy S3 leaked all over the place this past week, for both the
international version and the T-Mobile version. And Facebook goes dogfooding with Android.
The Give Away
We’re giving away a Samsung Galaxy Note 2
(International) here in the near future. If you’re interested and want
another chance to win, during the show we give away a super secret entry
code. Once you get the code, just head on over to the contest page and enter your code into the Rafflecopter.
